If I were giving you a one-to-one photography course with your Canon EOS M

and the new 22mm f2 lens, I'd structure it like this.

Module one, how cameras actually see.

Forget buttons for a moment.

Learn the three pillars.

Aperture, shutter speed, ISO.

And more importantly, what each controls physically,

what compromises each introduces.

By the end, you should instinctively know, open quote,

I need a faster shutter here.

I need more depth of field.

I can afford more ISO.

Close quote.

This is the foundation everything else sits on.

Module two, exposure without thinking.

Learn to read, histogram, highlight clipping, exposure compensation.

Modern cameras are incredibly good.

Most photographers spend too much time in manual mode.

I would actually teach aperture priority, exposure compensation before manual.

For 90% of photography, that's the fastest way to work.

Module three, depth.

This is where you're needed.

Yow and zoom is a pretty important component of a decent photo.

And you can see the quality of it.
