Visit Ingestion

Traccar sync stores raw tracked positions for breadcrumb map lines and derives visit windows from those positions. A later enrichment pass first checks the same person's historic visit memory, then falls back to Google place/geocode lookup, applies personal place semantics such as Home or Work when a confirmed profile matches, generates visit_summary, and stores a semantic embedding for search.

Google Timeline imports are treated as a higher-quality source. Imported Google visits use the embedded Google placeID where available, and overlapping Traccar visits are trimmed or removed so the Google visit becomes the canonical row for that period.

The important distinction is: traccar = Traccar's own stop report. traccar_derived = BR-AI visit windows inferred from raw route points. google_timeline = imported Google Timeline visit windows.

Traccar Settings

The dwell and spread settings tune BR-AI's position-derived visit logic. The sticky radius biases new visits toward previously known places for that person, and the merge gap collapses consecutive nearby fragments into one stay before enrichment.
