And they record all the calls. They told me when the first thing when I reported mine to that lady

about the lady crashing into me, not for the insurance or the repair but for the agent who

looks after it. He said have you got the lady's number, direct number, because they found out

the insurance and everything. First I'm gonna talk to her and he said what we do

because she gave me an address and phone number everything. He said I'll call her

and it's a recorded call. When they call her they say this call is recorded just to let you

know. And he says I said to her it's about the accident you had and she

said yeah I know I'm so sorry I don't know. I wasn't paying attention. So that was

taken in off evidence just that clip that she agreed to be recorded and she

said yeah I wasn't paying attention. From that there was no case that they

could

you know challenge.

I don't know what you mean. Obviously like I didn't have any accident or anything like this. But what I know even when I come out from the driver or parking that is close to bushes is always giving and I could see all the cameras and all the sensors. I didn't have any issue with any of these.

Trying yeah. So maybe I beeped a couple of times wrong or something and then he would use that as evidence.

But really he didn't have any issue with the sensors because if he had any issue he wouldn't even go.

It seems hard to believe that corrupted the system like broken the computer just because they plug in the wrong thing or put in the wrong place. It seems unlikely.

Maybe it's something because that got issues and then the door didn't open.

It's weird how the ECU could be damaged by the wrong sensor.

A lot of it is in the code when they plug it in. When they plug it in they like set it wrong or choose the wrong model or something in the laptop when they connect it.

But you would think that at the main data they just could reset it clean and sort it out. But they're famous for being useless as well in main data for a range of...

But they have the more facilities and more diagnoses.

And they're dodgy as well because they may be making up a lot of stuff.

Making up or delaying it on purpose to send a big bill to the insurance for 20 hours of diagnosis work when really it might be nothing.

If you have the right... Yeah yeah that's what I mean. Especially when they're billing an insurance company.

And the first things they... What they send it to insurance ask if they need to change the battery to carry it.

And the battery if you change it in main data...

Hundreds yeah.

You make a few hundred.

Yeah they're clever. That's what I mean.

So then they accept to do it.

I have a feeling like...

That takes even 10 days.

To change a battery.

And 12 hours...

That's 10 hours.

12 hours labor probably.

Labor maybe just for changing that battery.

Just 1000 cars.

So...

And then they start to diagnose and...

I have a feeling if you get the car back either way if they don't fix it.

But yeah.

You get it back and you find a good one.

And that guy seemed worth talking to.

Auto electrician.

Not mechanic but auto electrician.

You sort it out in two hours and it'll be good as new.

Yeah it's just matter of the engineer what comes to decision.

Risk it, carry on fixing it or just...

Three years ago.

Three, four years ago.

It happened twice.

One time they used it to steal tools from John Lewis.

Another time was two Mercedes vans.

One was in good condition.

And one was a mess.

It had some problems.

The battery was flat anyway.

We weren't using it.

The mechanic was supposed to come the next day and take it up there.

The battery was completely dead.

And some other little things.

But the body on all the vans we've always got is scratched and bent and everything.

And one of them they stole it and they arrested the guys the same night.

The police by chance.

In Leeds.

They took it to Leeds and did a commercial burglary in Leeds.

The police in Leeds got them and they phoned me and said we've got your van.

Before we even knew it was stolen in the morning.

Early in the morning.

And then the second one.

They smashed the window to get in.

And they would have stolen both of them.

But the second one the battery was flat so they couldn't start it.

So they didn't know.

And the police.
