been on fire and melted oh my it exploded the last time I tried to put it on oh goodness so I thought

I should do something yeah and I talked to him about it next door because his is leaking due

to something as well right and they're out of warranty but Aqualisa gave a quote for 700 pounds

right

come and fit a new one right of uh 500 pounds that fit the next model down right which was

more or less the same like same power and everything yeah just uh didn't look as nice

right but it still looks really nice just put that old one at the mirror on the front

right mirrored front for 200 pounds a mirror on the front it's not worth it and then I looked

on amazon and that shower like because it was very nice yeah and I think I liked it because

it wasn't like a cheap one it was a cheap one it was a cheap one it was a cheap one

it looked yeah it looked good enough or isn't stable on the temperature of the pressure

uh rather than how it looked but the one they wanted 500 or 550 or whatever it was to install

that one was only 200 pounds or 215 on amazon so I just bought it and replaced it myself and I said

No, the problem started with the switch I think, because it wasn't, I'd never touched that switch, the switch for the, yeah, the switch for the isolator for the shower, when it started behaving strangely, while I was using it, it was fine, and after I'd switched it off, it would start making a sound like a catapult, and then it would stop after a minute,

and sometimes I'd get out, jump out, and switch it off for the wall, because I thought it might explode, in the bathroom, and then, it started to be that when I would switch it on at the wall, it would start sounding like a boiling kettle,

one time I thought, okay, I'll just leave it, I'll close the door, wait outside the room, and the sound stopped, I got in, switched it on, and it was alright, but that time when I got out, that's when I switched it off when I got out,

and then,

it just started shaking right and there was a big bag and then the shower had exploded into pieces

and steam came out and it melted what was left of the shower head still attached to it and the

room was so hot i switched it off yeah and when i went in i saw that it was all you could see the

flame like the it was smoldering yeah inside it was on fire the shower there was the electric

shower unit and that was supposed to be a top of the range one yes but i think the fault came from

the wall switch right so then i kept saying i can smell burning in here and i said i think it's the

shower yeah but no no it's the switch it didn't make sense to me and i couldn't smell it because

the shower did smell like burning as well right okay for a few weeks and so when i came out in

the bedroom i said oh yeah actually it does and it's more like burning plastic that not right okay

like the shower was different so the isolator switch was the yeah it was and it just wasn't

tight enough so it was an unreliable yeah supply yeah i mean it was drawing a large amount of

power yeah it was getting hot too much it burned out it was black and a fire risk because they're

not right yes the shower comes off a dedicated uh feed from the consumer but the isolator

switches are fused right and that that was blackened on the inside to being in the shower

properly like for a long time you might have that might have gone fire yeah in the wall that would

have been a disaster yeah um

and so i think i read about it i asked ai said that probably that in uh inadequate negative

feed was causing it to overheat damage the valve solenoid whatever that right opens and closes and

then it's led to the damage within the shower to try and replace the switch you might find that

the shower's fine right but it wasn't but i replaced the switch

and it had decent power and then it exploded
