I have a subscription to InDesign via Adobe that I've had for 12 months and 11 days.

My payment is late, so I'm unable to manage the plan or cancel it online.

And Adobe won't cancel it now.

They say that it's 11 days into the next year and it's automatically renewed.

And I've got basically nearly 12 months to pay.

If I want to cancel it, I have to buy myself out of the contract for hundreds of pounds,

which is absolutely absurd.
