The most automated system isn't necessarily the most reliable system.

Looking back over the projects you've built over the last year, there's a definite pattern.

Phase one.

Maximum automation.

You built systems that could automatically record audio, automatically upload files,

automatically extract dashcam footage over Wi-Fi, automatically process whisper,

automatically analyze and index everything.

Technically, they're brilliant.

But every stage introduces another potential failure.

Phone overheats.

Wi-Fi transfer fails.

App crashes.

Battery dies.

Android kills a background processor.

Network is unavailable.

If any one step fails, the whole chain breaks.

Phase two.

Dedicated devices.

Now compare your newer workflow.

Proper dashcam.

Proper camera.

Proper audio.

iPad is the ingestion place.

Every individual device is extremely good at its one job.

The manual part is literally remove SD card or dock the microphone, copy files.

That takes maybe 20 seconds.

And after that, everything else can still be automated.
