* Raby Castle / Plotters’ Forest — 🌤️ Warm with sunny spells, around 23–25°C. Dry, although getting a bit breezy this afternoon. Probably one of the best weather choices. * Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens — ⛅ Mostly dry, cloud and sunny spells, around 21–22°C. Should be perfectly decent playground/exploring weather. * The Sill / Hadrian’s Wall — ☁️ Cooler and cloudier, around 19–22°C. Mainly dry, but noticeably breezier and cooler up there; an odd spot of rain can’t entirely be ruled out. * Druridge Bay Country Park — 🌤️ Around 22°C, mix of cloud and sunshine. Essentially dry, although being coastal it’ll feel breezier. Very decent beach/playground weather. * Plessey Woods Country Park — ⛅ Around 19–21°C, mostly cloudy with brighter/sunny spells. Mainly dry. Good walking/playground weather; probably won’t feel excessively hot. * Seaton Delaval Hall — 🌤️ Around 21–23°C, cloud and sunny spells. Mainly dry but breezy, particularly being fairly close to the coast. * Ormesby Hall — ☀️ Warmest/sunniest end of the list: around 24°C. Sunny spells, dry and breezy. Another very good choice today. * Hardwick Park, Sedgefield — 🌤️ Warm, around 24–25°C, dry with sunny spells. Breezier later, but otherwise excellent outdoor weather.

* Have you done Raby Castle / Plotters’ Forest? They’ve literally just doubled the adventure playground this month, so even if you’ve been before there’s a new bit. Castle, gardens and deer as well. * Have you done Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens? Proper adventure playground, plus the ruined castle, massive gardens, woodland and ravines to explore. * The Sill at Hadrian’s Wall? Discovery centre, grass roof you can walk on, little play area and you can combine it with a bit of Hadrian’s Wall. * Druridge Bay Country Park? Lake, play area, walks and then straight over the dunes onto the beach. Good one for bikes/scooters too. * Plessey Woods Country Park? Woodland and river walks, trails, play area and café. Quite a nice easy-going one rather than a full-on attraction. * Seaton Delaval Hall? They’ve got the Delaval Playdium adventure play area, plus the hall and grounds. Quite a bit to explore. * Ormesby Hall? Bit further south, but model railways, gardens and a natural playground with climbing/rope stuff. * Hardwick Park at Sedgefield? Lakes, woodland, sculptures and follies, loads of space to wander around and a play area.
