OCR Text: 06:53 Review Kerry Ricks 11 reviews ★ Edited 8 years ago To say it was disappointing is an under statement but the Hideaway Barn fell short of our expectations We rented this place as our annual get together 4 couples looking for a relaxing weekend On arrival I was greeted by a nice pile of dog mess at the back of my car not a good start as this place did not take pets. On entry the place was freezing so we tried to light the wood burner but the kindling was wet and because the seal around the door was missing a large bit of the rope downstairs was smoked out this happened ever time we tried to light it it was smelly and nasty and made our clothes smell The general cleanliness was poor thick grease on the extractor hood dust and old confetti all about. The oven was a disgusting greasy mess never cleaned this was coupled with rusty roasting trays so bad we had to buy disposables for our roast dinner . One en suite had no water in the bath or shower and despite calling Amy she just taxed and said it was in hand eventually we got bath water but the shower head was broken. One room had no remote for the tv the Bose sound system was disconnected so we fixed that the fridge was split and not that clean and we can only think that the cleaners left 2 dirty mugs in the sink for us to wash up before we could have a cup of tea. The visitors book said Amy was helpful but we did not see her all weekend despite the water. This was from what we expected and our advise would be to choose carefully
