Title Edited Text

I woke up on Christmas morning with a clear task in mind: to check the passports. It wasn’t the usual festive rush or social plans that filled my thoughts, but something practical and necessary. I spent the early part of the day going through the passports carefully, making sure everything was in order. It felt a bit odd to focus on travel documents on a day when most people are celebrating, but I suppose it’s important to stay ahead of things. There was no rush, no stress—just a quiet, methodical check to ensure nothing was overlooked.

The rest of the day unfolded quietly at home, at 10 St Oswalds Way. I didn’t have any visitors or plans to go out, and the house was calm. It was a peaceful contrast to the usual Christmas bustle. I thought about Grandma, Janice, but there was no contact today. Maybe she was busy with her own celebrations or resting. I didn’t reach out either; it felt like a day to keep things simple and low-key.

From late on Christmas Eve through to the afternoon of Boxing Day, I stayed put at home. It was a restful stretch, a chance to just be in my own space without the usual distractions. No work calls, no errands—just the quiet comfort of home. The passport check was the only scheduled event, but it anchored the day in a practical way that I appreciated. It left me feeling prepared, even if the reason for the check—whether for upcoming travel or just routine—remains a bit unclear to me.

Overall, it was a Christmas spent in stillness and quiet preparation, a break from the usual holiday noise and a reminder that sometimes the best way to celebrate is simply to be at home and take care of the little things.
