Summary
A Victorian photograph of an elderly man with sticks on his back, which inspired the cover of Led Zeppelin's fourth album, sold at auction in West Sussex for £16,000. The band's singer Robert Plant found a version of the image in an antique shop in Berkshire. The photo was coloured and used on the sleeve of the 1971 album, which included hits 'Black Dog' and 'Stairway to Heaven'.
